Biographical Sketch

Dr. Cindy Lee received her doctoral degree in sport management from the Ohio State University, M.Ed. in sport management from the University of Texas at Austin (2001), and B.Ed. in physical education from the Seoul National University (1998). Originally from South Korea, she currently works as an associate professor in the department of sport sciences at West Virginia University. Lee teaches sport marketing, sport finance and economics, and sport management. Before working in academia, she worked as a marketer at Korean branch of Octagon (2001-2002), the second largest sport marketing company in the world. During that period, she was involved with organizing 2001 World Taekwondo Championship and planning/implementing of sponsorship rights for national sponsors of 2002 Korea and Japan World Cup.
