  • Athletic Training

    • The WVU Athletic Training program is celebrating 40 years of athletic training education.

  • Coaching and Performance Science

    Fast Facts:

    • WVU provides the only Applied Sport Science area of emphasis at the undergraduate level in the country. 
    • Students can complete extremely valuable hands on learning experiences with faculty, WVU Athletics, WVU Medicine, or a variety of sport organizations. 
    • Students may work with faculty who are internationally recognized in their field. 
  • Health and Well-Being

    • According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, healthcare occupations are projected to grow by 18 percent from 2016-2026, at a faster rate than the average for all occupations.

  • Physical Education and Kinesiology

    Fast Facts:

    • Participate in and learn to teach outdoor adventure, lifetime leisure and team and individual sports and activities (e.g., archery, swimming, tennis, soccer, disc games)
    • Gain hands-on teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities and special needs.
    • Our PEK majors have posted a 100 percent passage rate on the Physical Education Content Specialization test during the past five years. More than 160 students have taken the PRAXIS II test.
    • Over 120 contact hours prior to student teaching.
  • Sport and Exercise Psychology

    Fast Facts:

    • WVU’s undergraduate SEP program is one of the few in the nation that allows students to specialize in sport and exercise psychology.
    • Several of the courses in the curriculum can be used to meet requirements of the university’s general education program.
    • Through our major’s club, students have an opportunity to gain unique social and professional experiences outside of the classroom. 
  • Sport Management

    • More than 90 percent of Sport Management students graduate with minors
    • Students receive hands-on experience with WVU athletic department through a class
    • Mandatory but flexible internship program: Students can choose where and when to complete their internship
