Biographical Sketch

Nikki Goodenow has worked in the Brand and Trademark Licensing Office at West Virginia University since 2010. As the Interim Director, some of her responsibilities include: providing the overall strategic direction of the licensing program, protecting the University’s brand, marketing licensed products, product category management, and internal branding, Nikki works closely with Athletics and the Alumni Association to promote the sale of licensed products to the Mountaineer fan base through campaigns such as Mountaineer Nation Day, the Official Fan Shirt program, The Ultimate Mountaineer Fan program and various other local and national marketing initiatives.
   
   In May of 2018, the Brand and Trademark Licensing office received the Campus Integration Award from IMG College Licensing. In 2015, WVU was recognized as Licensing Program of the Year by winning the ICLA Synergy Award. Nikki is a member of the IMG College Licensing Strategic Marketing Solutions Steering Committee. She currently serves a member of the ICLA board and is the 2nd VP for the 2018-19 academic year.
   
   Prior to her current position with the Brand and Trademark Licensing Office, Nikki was the assistant women’s soccer coach at WVU for 9 years. During her tenure, the team advanced to 9 NCAA tournaments, including the Round of 16 twice and the Final 8. The team also captured the Big East Championship and 3 regular season division titles. Currently Nikki coaches various youth soccer programs in Morgantown and was named the 2014 US Youth Soccer Region 1 Coach of the Year.
   
   Nikki received her undergraduate degree from the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences in Physical Education and Health Education in 1999. In the May of 2012, she received her Masters in Athletic Coaching Education. Nikki was also a member of the WVU women’s soccer team during her undergraduate days.
