Jay is a fourth year Sport and Exercise Psychology PhD student from Lake Wales, Florida. He received his Master’s in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Georgia Southern University and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Florida. His research interests focus on exercise psychology/promotion, motivation and adherence to exercise programs, and youth sport and exercise participation. Jay’s career goals are to teach at the university level, while also providing sport and health behavior change consulting services. Jay currently holds a position as a Fitness and Wellness Graduate Assistant at WVU’s Student Rec Center. When he’s not in school or at work Jay enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercise, participating in team sports, cooking (and eating), and warm weather.
