Roger Alford Memorial Scholarship

For an African-American undergraduate student demonstrating financial need and majoring in (a) Athletic Coaching Education, (b) Athletic Training, (c) Physical Education Teacher Education, (d) Sport and Exercise Psychology, or (e) Sport Management.

Ferris and Deanna Antoon Textbook Scholarship

For undergraduate student in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences who demonstrates academic promise and financial need; funds must be used by the recipient to purchase textbooks for their classes during the academic year the award is designated for.

For a doctoral graduate assistant in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences’ Sport and Exercise Psychology discipline who shows financial need and is involved in professional and/or community organizations.

For a Junior majoring in Athletic Coaching Education with good academic status.

W.A. Carruth, M.J. Pearse & K.J. Blakemore Scholarship

For a fulltime undergraduate in-state or out-of-state student enrolled at WVU CPASS. The recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 and demonstrate financial need. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selection critia.

Tom and Jan Cook Endowed Scholarship

For students majoring or pre-majoring in Sport and Exercise Psychology. First preference will be given to student from West Virginia

Fred M. Coombs Scholarship

For an academically qualified undergraduate student with a 2.8 or higher overall grade point average who shows financial need and is majoring in (a) Athletic Coaching Education, (b) Athletic Training, (c) Physical Education Teacher Education, (d) Sport and Exercise Psychology, or (e) Sport Management.

For a College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences major with a minimum GPA of 2.5.

For a Sports Management student pursuing a MS degree and has public/professional experience in the Sports Management field.

Dr. Patricia K. Fehl Undergraduate Student Scholarship

For an undergraduate student with a 3.0 or higher GPA who is currently enrolled in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences as either a pre-major or major and is also involved in a professional or a community based organization.

Dr. Patricia K. Fehl Graduate Student Scholarship

For a graduate student demonstrating financial need, admitted and regularly enrolled in one of the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences’ Graduate Programs (Athletic Coaching Education, Athletic Training, Physical Education Teacher Education, Sport Management, or Sport and Exercise Psychology). Priority is given to a first year doctoral student enrolled in Physical Education Teacher Education and who teaches in the College’s Basic Instruction Program. Preference given to Masters students in Physical Education Teacher Education and Athletic Coaching Education.

For undergraduate students enrolled in Athletic Coaching Education in the College of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.

Kelly Irene Osleger Endowed Scholarship

For an enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at CPASS with first preference to Physical Education Teacher Education and Athletic Training majors. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate interests and participation in community service and/or professional/campus organizations. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year, provided they continue to meet selection criteria. If a recipient is no longer eligible to receive the scholarship, another recipient may be selected.

Peter and Linda Zulia Endowed Scholarship

For an enrolled undergraduate or gradute student at CPASS with a minimum GPA of 2.5. First preferences for applicant selection will go to Athletic Training majors. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year providing they continue to meet the selection criteria.
