Willie and Linda Akers Endowed Scholarship Criteria
  1. CPASS undergraduate students with first preference being an Athletic Coaching Education (ACE) major.
  2. Recipient shall maintain a GPA of 2.5.
  3. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selection criteria outlined above.

Melinda and John Hale Endowed Scholarship Criteria
  1. CPASS undergraduate student with first preference for direct admit students from Mineral County (WV) and second preference for students transferring from Potomac State College.
  2. Recipient shall maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.
  3. Recipient must demonstrate interests and participation in community services and/or professional/campus organizations.
  4. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selection criteria outlined above.

Louise Currence Christensen Endowed Scholarship Criteria
  1. The recipient must be a graduate or undergraduate in-state or out-of-state student enrolled at West Virginia University in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.
  2. First preference will be given to a student from Pocahontas County, WV.

CPASS Class of 2018 Senior Scholarship Criteria
  1. Recipient must be a senior.
  2. Possess an Overall GPA of 3.5.
  3. Show significant service to the community and to CPASS

Dr. Patricia K. Fehl Undergraduate Student Scholarship
  1. Must be a pre-major or major undergraduate student enrolled in one of the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences’ Undergraduate Programs (Athletic Coaching Education, Athletic Training, Physical Education Teacher Education, Sport Management, or Sport and Exercise Psychology).
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  3. Must actively participate in professional and/or community organizations. 
  4. The recipient shall be selected by the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences’ Awards and Scholarship Committee and reviewed by the appropriate officials of the West Virginia University Office of Financial Aid in accordance with the criteria stated above, and awarded in the name of the honoree, Dr. Patricia K. Fehl.
