This master’s degree is 39 credit hours and is completed in five semesters (fall, spring, summer, fall, and spring). Students complete 24 hours of core classes and then select an area of emphasis for the remainder of the courses (15 hours) depending upon their career goals.
Performance Coaching
This track is designed for individuals who will be coaching at the collegiate or elite levels. The courses in this emphasis focus on evaluating one’s coaching methods.
Science of Coaching
This track is designed fro the individual who is interested in coaching education and the preparation of coaches. There are two options within this emphasis. The only difference between the two options is the depth of research study.
NOTE: On campus ACE master’s students must take all courses on campus – they are not eligible to take the online ACE master’s level classes for their on-campus degree.
Graduation Requirements
In order to receive an ACE master’s degree, all students must have
- earned 39 advisor approved credits,
- satisfy all collge and university requirements and
- have earned an overall GPA of a 3.0 in all course work leading towards the degree.
