Scuba – Summer 2014

Discovery Scuba Certification

Ages: 10 – Adults

WVU Lifetime Activities has partnered with Dive Tech and Sports to offer a Discovery Scuba Certification class. This course is designed to prepare students for Open Water Certification and certify them as Discover Scuba Divers. Students have the opportunity to practice skills and knowledge used to be a safe and confident diver. This course will certify you as a Discover Scuba Diver, which allows you to scuba dive anywhere in the world as long as you are accompanied by a current instructor.

You will learn how to safely enjoy the underwater world. After completing the course you will have a Discovery Scuba Certification, and are on your way to earning an Open Water Scuba Diver certification if you want to (with completion of 4 open water dives). These dives are an addition to this course, and dives can be completed with a trip to Florida, locally in WV during the summer months. Once certified as an Open Water Scuba Diver, you can dive anywhere in the world without the need of supervision. The Discovery Scuba Certification is the foundation of any diving dream. Should you choose to expand your diving commitment recreationally, technically, or professionally, Dive Tech & Sports can provide the training to get you there.
