John Mallory
Mallory, a Summit, N.J. native, played for the WVU football team as a defensive back from 1965-1967. Mallory’s WVU football playing career featured 10 interceptions, returning 70 punts for 1,049 yards and scoring seven touchdowns, breaking the current school record. While at WVU Mallory also lettered for the Mountaineer track team. After leaving WVU, Mallory was drafted into the NFL by the Philadelphia Eagles. He was later traded to the Atlanta Falcons where he became the Falcon’s all- time punt return leader.
