Background
Nancy received her B.S in Physical Education Teacher Education and Health at FSC, and MS in Physical Education Teacher Education from WVU. She is the Fitness and Wellness Director of CPASS and develops fitness programming and teaches fitness classes for the WVU Lifetime Activities Program. She also oversees and teaches courses in the Personal Trainer Minor and Group Fitness Minor, and teaches classes in the Basic Instruction Program.
In addition she manages the WVU Stansbury Fitness Center and supervises personal training and exercise physiology interns. She is a faculty member and master trainer for the American Council on Exercise with 35 years experience in personal training and group fitness, teaching 15+ different types of group fitness including step, hi/lo, kickboxing, fitness yoga, mat pilates, sport conditioning, hip hop, boot camp, muscle pump, aqua, and stability ball.
Nancy also teaches internationally for Fitness Pro Travel in Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, Punta Cana, and Curacao. She chairs the Wellness Task Force, is the CPASS Employee Wellness Coordinator and an American Red Cross Instructor. She is a member of the West Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance WVAHPERD.
She enjoys all types of activities including snow & water skiing, biking, swimming, ice & roller skating, horseback riding, wind surfing, sailing, tennis, racquet ball, running, kayaking, hiking, dance, surfing, weight lifting, running, snorkeling, paddle boards, climbing…and believes a “body in motion, stays in motion.”
