Biographical Sketch

Dr. Cindy Lee received her B.Ed. in physical education from the Seoul National University (1998) in Korea, M.Ed. in Sport Management from the University of Texas at Austin (2001), and Ph.D in Sport Management from The Ohio State University (2005) with a minor in ‘Statistics and Research Design’. At WVU, Lee teaches Sport Finance, Sport Economics, and Issues in Sport Management. Before joining to WVUin 2010, she worked four years at York College of Pennsylvania as an assistant professor. She also worked as a marketer at Korean branch of Octagon (2001-2002), the second largest sport marketing company in the world. During that period, she was involved with organizing 2001 World Taekwondo Championship, and planning/implementing of sponsorship rights for national sponsors of 2002 Korea and Japan World Cup.
