FiT Publishing is an international publisher in the sport sciences and operates under the division of the International Center for Performance Excellence (ICPE) in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University.
The ICPE, a unit within the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU), was created in 2004 under the direction of Dr. Andrew C. Ostrow, professor emeritus of sport and exercise psychology at WVU and the ICPE’s first Director. Since its inception, the mission of the ICPE has been to support international educational initiatives by CPASS and promote awareness at the local, national, and international levels of the values and benefits of engaging in sport and physical activity.
Lifetime Activities is a community-based, service-oriented program operated by the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Classes for all ages are offered, including those taught in the Stansbury Fitness and Wellness Center. Classes are offered in aquatics, martial arts, gymnastics, fitness, and more.
The goal of McDowell CHOICES is to improve physical activity opportunities for citizens of McDowell County, WV in school and family settings.
NYSP incorporates educational and enrichment lessons into a fun leaning atmosphere. The program is designed to allow campers access to university facilities and resources providing possibilities to develop dreams and aspirations for their future.
PEIA was established under the Public Employees Insurance Act of 1971, to provide hospital, surgical, group major medical, prescription drug, group life, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage to eligible employees; and to establish and promulgate rules for the administration of these plans. Benefits are made available to all active employees of the State of West Virginia and various related State agencies and local governments.
