Bachelor’s In Athletic Training

West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia, offers undergraduate and graduate Athletic Training programs. The undergraduate program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). After



meeting program requirements, students are then eligible to sit for the BOC exam.

During the 3 year program, clinical experience is combined with challenging academic coursework. Clinical athletic training experiences are available with the 16 Division I intercollegiate athletic teams at WVU, WVU club sports and intramurals, Division II Fairmont State University, local high schools and sports medicine clinics, and WVU physicians.

Students seeking graduate level education can achieve a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training through a one or two year curriculum program.

Financial assistance can be obtained through undergraduate scholarships, graduate assistantships, and/or through the university financial aid office.
