Cheryl Kennedy received her B.S. Degree in Physical Education in 1981 and her Master’s Degree in Safety Studies in 1982 from WVU. She was also a member of the WVU women’s basketball team. Cheryl has worked in safety at New York City Transit for the last 34 years. She has served as the Vice President of System Safety at New York City Transit since 2000 where she is responsible for the development and oversight of all aspects of a comprehensive safety program for the subway and bus system in New York City. New York City Transit is the largest transit property in North America carrying over 2 billion customers annually and has over 46,000 employees. She and her husband Michael live in Edison, New Jersey.
