Matthew Palka is an undergraduate senior sport management major in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University. Matt is currently finishing up his undergraduate degree and will graduate with a B.S in Sport Management in the spring. He plans to go to graduate school with a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Sport Management program. This is his first year on the CPASS Dean’s Student Advisory Board and he will be serving as the Vice Chair of program planning. Matt is also a four-year member of the WVU Sport Management club. He served as the club secretary last year and has now moved up to the Vice President position. Matt is currently interning with the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences as a communication intern, where he has worked for almost a year now. He also has helped plan and run events such as the Diversity Cup and Sport Management Career Day. He has volunteered with both men’s and women’s soccer as a game play assistant and has also helped with the game day operations and setup for both soccer teams. He has worked with WVU’s Golf team as a live scorer at the Mountaineer Invitational at the Pete Dye golf club. In his spare time Matt enjoys playing or watching sports, spending time with friends and family and traveling.
